I know, I know--I said I was going to take a break from doing fan art. But this was languishing away on my hard drive at about 90% completed. I finally got motivated to finish it because Blood+ is premiering tonight on US TV (Adult Swim). I've been inactive in the fandom because the series ended in Japan quite a while ago, and I also don't plan on watching the dubbed version. Yet I still sort of felt like doing something for the premiere........Er, yay?

Anyway, this completes my Blood+ Saya x Haji trifecta of fanarts [After a Thunderstorm] and [L'Heure Bleue] where I tried using three different styles. In the other two, I used a lot of bright colors. So for this one, I wanted to do something rather stark-looking and with a limited range of colors to emphasize the dark moody quality of the anime that appealed to me.

And, yes, as usual it took for-frigging-ever to do. Haji's "monster" hand was also surprisingly hard--the darn thing kept looking like half of a cooked crab. XD

Edit 8/9/2007: Fixed the sleeves and some of the shading. I'm still not 100% satisfied with it--particularly the skin and clothing.
